Other FAQ’S
Can I Sign-Up for Just One Session or Do I Have to Commit for the Whole Program?
Juniors have the flexibility to sign up for a single session or enroll in the full 8-week program
Who are the Instructors?
Our primary instructors are Kemper King, Drew Kouns, and Corey Melnick. If enrollment is high, we’ll bring in additional instructors from our talented team of Assistant Golf Professionals.
How Can Parents/Guardians be Involved in the Junior Golf Program?
Parents/Guardians play an important role in the success of our Junior Golf Program. Participation is not required but we do appreciate having additional adults attend weekly sessions, to support and observe the golfers. If you are interested in attending a session, please contact Kemper King at kking@promontoryclub.com.
Does My Junior Golfer Need Golf Equipment?
Yes. We do not have golf equipment for junior golfers to use for the duration of the clinics. If you do not currently have equipment for your junior golfer, please see the US Kids page attached to this outline for more information. Please contact Kemper in advance, so that we may schedule a time to perform a club fitting.
What Happens in the Event of Inclement Weather or a Rainout?
In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent to all parents one hour prior to the scheduled session to inform you of the status of the daily activities. For this reason, please be sure the email address you use for the contact form is one that is used and checked regularly.
What Will My Junior Be Learning and Focusing On?
Throughout the 8-week program, juniors will begin by building a strong foundation in golf fundamentals, including grip, posture, and alignment. As they progress, they’ll develop essential swing techniques before advancing to chipping and pitching followed by irons and woods.
